Meeting in support of Youth Space

Empowered youth from Silver Spring came together on January 30th at City Place Mall to discuss the need for youth space in downtown Silver Spring.

With support from Reemberto Rodriguez from the Silver Spring Regional services and John Laurie from the Silver Spring Town Center Inc, the young people focused on the possibility of having a dedicated space in the civic center. From our brainstorming session, we gathered different perspectives from both youth and adults. At the end of the session, the youth decided to draw up a petition describing the ideal space for youth in the civic building.
